darren “daz” jones, aka mister jones, began spinning vinyl in his leeds bedroom at 14, landing his first club gig in harrogate before his late teens. inspired by iconic festivals like creamfields and glastonbury, he quickly developed a deep connection with the dancefloor, crafting energetic, feel-good sets that blend piano house, soulful, jackin, vocal house, and nudisco.

at 21, daz launched a successful interiors and building business, honing entrepreneurial skills that would later fuel his music career. this fusion of creativity and business savvy led to the creation of fml (funk my life), a vibrant event brand co-founded by daz that has expanded internationally and earned recognition across the global dance scene. beyond djing, he thrives on curating line-ups, crafting experiences, and building spaces that bring people together.

2024 marked a breakthrough year: over 80 events, shared decks with house icons marshall jefferson and mousse t, and standout performances in ibiza, including café del mar. in 2025, he passed the decks to crazy p, debuted at café mambo, joined the icn stage residency at 528 ibiza, launched his own sunset sessions residency at wi-ki-woo ibiza, and made his u.s. debut in new york city — cementing his rising international profile.
